		<description>Elizabeth,
SOA stands for service-oriented architecture. This refers to a way of organizing IT assets into reusable &#039;services&#039;, accessed in a standard fashion and executing a discrete piece of business functionality. It is popular because it provides a flexible IT architecture that is quicker and cheaper to change.
Lustratus (www.lustratus.com) produces an SOA Primer, which can be found at http://www.lustratusresearch.com/store/product/An-SOA-Primer,181,96.aspx. This is a set of papers that provide a good background into SOA. Feel free to email me if you would like to know more about SOA.
