EasyAsk division of Progress have been sold seperatly yesterday.
Looks like the the company will be sold in peaces to diferent buyers.

Well Phillip, if you think about it EMC is all about leveraging business information. Progress would offer them a customer base of its database customers, as well as toolsets like the DataDirect and Sonic/IONA stuff to leverage business info better. And of course there is that lovely juicy maintenance revenue stream.
Lots of opportunities to cross sell, and a strategic fit too! Can’t ask for much more than that.

Interesting post Steve and timely too. I see that Joe Alsop has recently moved on.

Joe was Progress and Progress was Joe and the fact that he’s moved on has to be significant.
The question is whether this paves the way for a Progress sale or is it a statement to the market that Progress is staying independent?
